Accessibility statement

Equal Vision is committed to digital accessibility for people with disabilities. Building an accessible product begins with an accessible website, and we hold this site to the same standard we ask of any document our customers publish.

Conformance target

This website is designed and tested to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. WCAG defines requirements for making web content more accessible to people with a wide range of disabilities. Equal Vision considers this site to be partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA: parts of the content may not yet fully conform, and where that is the case we describe it plainly under Known limitations below and work to resolve it.

We use the W3C’s exact conformance wording deliberately. The W3C does not test content or verify conformance claims, so we are solely responsible for the accuracy of this statement. We would rather state an honest “partially conformant” with a plan to resolve issues than an unearned “fully conformant.”

Measures we take

  • Semantic HTML and a clear landmark structure (header, navigation, main, footer).
  • One page heading, with headings nested in a logical order for screen-reader navigation.
  • Visible keyboard focus on every interactive element, and full keyboard operability with no traps.
  • Color contrast that meets or exceeds WCAG 2.1 Level AA for text and interface components.
  • Descriptive alternative text for meaningful images; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
  • Captions and standard controls for media; no video that plays sound automatically.
  • Support for the operating-system “reduce motion” preference, with an on-page motion toggle as well.
  • Labelled, operable forms, with instructions and error messages conveyed in text and not by color alone.
  • Content that reflows to a single column at 320 pixels wide and remains usable at 200% zoom.

Assessment approach

We evaluate this site using a combination of automated testing, manual keyboard and screen-reader review, and inspection against the WCAG 2.1 Level AA success criteria. Automated scanning is treated as a floor, not a ceiling: it does not replace testing with people who rely on assistive technology.

Known limitations

We list issues honestly as they arise rather than claim perfection. At the time of the last review, the following are known:

  • The product demonstration in the page hero is a placeholder. When the final video is published it will include synchronized captions and a transcript; until then, no video media is served.
  • The “Schedule a call” form is illustrative in this build and is not yet wired to a live submission endpoint. In the meantime, email is a fully accessible alternative.

Technical information

This site relies on HTML, CSS, and a small amount of JavaScript. It is built to function without JavaScript; script is used only to enhance the experience. Accessibility depends on the following technologies working with your browser and any assistive technology installed: HTML, WAI-ARIA, and CSS.

This site is designed to work with current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari) and with common assistive technologies, including the JAWS and NVDA screen readers on Windows and VoiceOver on macOS and iOS.
